There appears to be a resurgence of the old daytime staple--the quiz show. Except they are on during prime time, and a great many of them offer the chance of winning one million dollars.
I think it started with Regis Philbin and "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" but now we have a half dozen or so.
This week's Friday Five is the One Million Dollar Question. It's simple. What are five things you would want to do with a million dollar deposit in your bank account?
1. Start an orphan care ministry in Bungoma, Kenya
2. Travel to Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia and Fiji
3. Put a chunk away for my niece & nephew's college fund
4. Spend about 6 months schelpping around Europe
5. Spend another 6 months traveling in North, Central and South America
There's a trend. Pick up on it?

Yeah, I get it. Though I didn'v say much about that in my answers, I really want to travel too. And to many of the same place you do. :-)
1. Pay off house.
2. Adopt child. Or two. (Three?)
3. Hire nanny.
4. Take clan to Portland. Set up base of operations at in-laws. Travel around west coast for a month or so.
5. Find a good financial adviser. (Maybe that should be number 1?)
Yay travel. I'd love to go to New Zealand, I already live in Europe tho! Great play
I want to travel, too, although like SO I didn't say that too carefully. If we both get the million, I'll go to Europe with you...my best friend's in Germany, so we'd have a good base.
My interest in New Zealand was sparked by an old Kiwi college pal who'd often talk about how beautiful New Zealand was and how delightfully quirky the people are. And ever since reading Bill Bryson's In a Sunburnt Country, his hilarious account of his own journey to Australia, I've wanted to go there as well. Great travel destinations!
ooh yes...I like your way of thinking. I'm going to 'borrow' this one from you, then :) happy friday!!!! yay!!!!
ps: where's the brownie recipe? am I just blind? or looking on the wrong blog, perhaps?
